Murphy Bed

The design of this queen size Murphy bed is based on one of Frank Lloyd Wright’s stained glass window patterns.  The pattern is a modified version from the Hollyhock house.  This design was done as an onlay using walnut where the glass windows lead would be, with cherry and canary wood used as the accent pieces in the pattern over a maple background.  There are over 600 pieces of wood used in the design work, all are 1/4” thick.  The smallest piece being 9/16” long from its long point to short point.
